1 & 2 Kings: A Divided Heart

The books of 1 & 2 Kings hinge on Solomon's tragic decision to multiply wives which turned his turned his heart away from God. This divided his heart and in turn divided the kingdom, as well. What does it mean to have a divided heart? Are divided hearts still a problem today? How does God want to heal our divided hearts?
